| The Osaka Contemporary Art Center was opened in Nakanoshima (Kita-ku, Osaka)on April 1, 1980 with the aim of providing a greater number of people with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with and develop a deeper understanding of contemporary art. In January 2000, the center relocated to its current location (Chuo-ku, Osaka) where it continues to help people integrate art into their daily lives through the staging of a variety of exhibitions, workshops, and other art-related events. |
